Name: "Molly"
Breed: Cocker Spaniel
Age: 4 yrs.
One of the most rewarding surgeries we perform is a Cesarean Section. Usually it is performed on small breed dogs because their pelvic canals are just too small to handle the size of the pups for a natural birth. Molly was unable to deliver her puppies vaginally. When she was brought into the clinic she has been in labor for several hours. We tried medications but ended up doing a Cesarean Section on her. During the surgery, Dr. Francke delivered 6 puppies. Unfortunately, the last puppy that was delivered did not make it. Molly went home that same day with 5 healthy puppies.
